Silver Heartbeats: "Scenery and Small Trips" Scans-Europe (August 2025)
The more I work on scanning this first box of slide film in, the more I realize that many of these might have been swapped with friends or possibly extras that might have matching photos from the same trip or event in other boxes. I do not know that for certain yet, but as I go through this hodgepodge of “scenery and small trips,” I’ve decided to organize these better, starting with photographs from Grandma Pat’s trip to Europe she took with some friends in her 20’s.
I have included some photos from my first batch since they truly complete the set. I do not know the exact year of when this trip was taken, but it was sometime during the 1950’s, Grandma may have been 25 or so. She and her travel companions made the voyage to Europe by boat, and they largely explored the continent by bicycle.
If there are any more images from this particular trip in other file boxes, I will update this set and re-publish the entry with those additions. I must say, I am obsessed with the color on this slide film. Most of it is Kodachrome, but there appears to be some Ansco Color and Pavelle color as well.
