Jamie and Steve Cardinal

Meet Jamie and Steve! Ever walk into a store around the holidays and see home decor with two red cardinals on it? Well, that means it’s two males, and it always makes me think of my gay cardinal neighbors, Jamie and Steve!

Jamie is a classy, artistic fella who loves knitting, baking, scrapbooking, and arts and crafts in general (He makes the BEST scarves) with the biggest collection of glasses you’d ever see. Have a bad day? He’ll make you a treat. New to the neighborhood? He’ll make you a treat. Existing within his vicinity? He’ll make you a treat! Jamie is well-read, loves dramadies, and is always learning a new language.

His husband, Steve, is quite opposite! Steve is athletic and often grumpy. He loves sports and doesn’t care AT ALL how Jamie decorates the inside of their tree-hollow home. He hates cooking, so he’s very glad Jamie likes to eat. His best friend is Bob the Robin and they’re always game for grabbin’ a beer and watchin’ a game whether it’s the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, or the Olympics.

The Cardinals are major advocates for equality whether you’re a bird, forest critter, or human! They know that love is love and we all deserve to live healthy, happy lives freely.
